Alternativa Rainforest Lodge - Accommodations

A 15 minute private water-taxi ride across the Golfo Dulce Bay will bring you from Golfito to the lodge, where you will be greeted by your host at the waterfront reception area. Your luggage will be transported to your room while you enjoy a cold beverage and tour the grounds.  The resort is surrounded by beautiful gardens of local ornamental plants and flowers.

The resort has 2 lodges; The main lodge at the top of the mountain with a dinning area, recreation area, 2 swimming pools, and a wrap-around sundeck with views of the pacific ocean.  The lower lodge on the waterfront has awesome views of Golfito Bay.

Buildings and furnishing were constructed from lumber of naturally fallen trees.
Red tile roofs are made from a combination of natural materials and 75% recycled plastic bags.

The lodge is under new management and is undergoing reorganization.

Private 2 story cabina accommodations (top of the mountain near the main lodge):
2 Story cabins: come equipped with your choice of queen size or double beds, tables, chairs and private bathroom with hot showers. Lower level has wrap around decks, and upper level has a loft sitting room (that can be used for extra sleeping accommodations).

All cabinas have double screened windows, and sleeping accommodations are based on your needs (example: one queen size or 2 double or bunk beds).

Of course all cabinas are equipped with hammocks for you to relax and enjoy the pacific ocean view and peaceful environment.

All 3 cabinas are within 50 yards from the main lodge and pool area with balcony and wooden walkways.

3 Screened room accommodations (bottom lodge area):
Large roofed platform with private deck. Screened rooms come equipped with your choice of queen size or double beds, tables and chairs. These rooms have no private bath, but are 30 yards from the restroom/shower rooms next to the lower lodge, they have hot water showers and are fully equipped.
